PORYES – A QUEERFEMINIST EVENT

Join us for a joyous sex+ evening of queerfeminist films and discussions! An intellectual- emotional and physical arousal featuring the work of Jiz Lee and Morgana Muses with discussions led by our host, Dr. Laura Méritt, sexpositive activist & initiator of Poryes.

What is it to decondition desire? Let's meet and laugh at our own stereotypical perspectives and arousals. Discuss sexual scripts, categories, depictions of orgasms, how to queer the screen, question the male gaze, talk about consensus, safer sex and ethical working conditions.

PorYes is an initiative of sex-positive feminists that advocates for feminist criteria in pornography and honors outstanding depictions of sexuality. Since 2009, the PorYes Award has been held every two years as a feminist European porn film prize in Berlin. The PorYes awards were created as a feminist counter-action to the Venus Awards, a Berlin-based mainstream porn festival.
